SAMORI J. JACKSON

Producer, Director, Actor, Screenwriter, Author, Model

Samori is a recent graduate at the Tisch School of Arts for Film and Television at New York University with a minor in Business Entertainment, and Media Technologies and now currently live in New York City.

Most recently he has written, directed, and produced his own short film, “Forgive Me Jannu”, raising money for the project myself of 8,000 dollars where it currently presides in the pool of Film Festivals. Samori has served the role of Producer, Assistant Director, Director of Photography, Production Assistant and Actor on numerous short projects both film and music video where he has been able to demonstrate his knowledge of filmmaking from the creative as well as the business side to push a project to success. Through Samori’s minor in Business Entertainment and Media Technologies, he has obtained substantial knowledge of the entertainment field relating to financing, marketing and distribution for film, music, and various other entertainment industries.

 In addition, Samori has a strong passion for writing stories, he feels that it is the only place where he can express his ultimate creativity. His novel, Angel Born, is a 90,000-word project that he completed at the age of 16; and 7 years later has focused on publishing. It is a fantasy/adventure story that is formulated from an entire world-building of his own imagination. Several stories intertwined from ancient texts that follow angels and demons. This is something he hopes to adopt into a seven-book series with the second novel already in the works.  Samori has never been more dedicated to a project in his life and believes that this can become a unique and amazing story for the world to read.

 Samori has many passions and goals when it comes to the world of entertainment. He wants to be in control of his own projects and stories where he can express the utmost creativity. Samori tries to pursue many avenues when it comes to being a producer as well as a writer, one day hoping to have a successful career in the arts.
